Seary is a Nuyorican actor, performance poet and educator. She is an Adjunct Lecturer in the English and College Now Departments. She has taught secondary English and Drama in the NYCDOE for 19 years and has taught as an adjunct at Monroe College, John Jay College and BMCC for 13 years. She has performed at the Nuyorican Poets Café, the Bowery Poetry Club, and Le Poisson Rouge. She has toured American cities such as NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, L.A., Grand Rapids, and Orlando. She has also performed in London, U.K. and San Juan, P.R. In addition, she has toured colleges across the country with her solo poetry show and with Kraal Charles Media's ensemble <em>HerStory</em>. J.F. Seary has performed in both classical and contemporary theatrical productions including; Shakespeare's <em>King Lear, A Midsummer Night's Dream </em>and <em>As You Like It. </em>Contemporary plays include <em>Vivisection, In The Cypher,</em> <em>Soledad Speaks, Of Mothers and Men </em>and <em>Latin Lives</em>.  J.F. Seary is currently a co-creator/co-writer for the web-series <em>The New York Effect</em> and theatrical production of <em>HerStory</em>. She is proud to have her work being studied in the United States and France. J.F. Paul Narkunas studied at the University of Pittsburgh, and taught at Penn State University--Erie, the Pratt Institute, and Princeton University before coming to John Jay in 2007.  Presently an Associate Professor of English, Narkunas regularly researches and teaches classes on how digital technologies and economic processes reorient historical concepts of the human and reality.  He is the author of <em>Reifed Life: Speculative Capital and the Ahuman Condition</em>​ (Fordham University Press, 2018), a defense of speculative literatures as a strategy for struggling with speculative capital's reorganization of life.  He has published on such varied subjects as literary authors Margaret Atwood, Thomas Pynchon, Chang-rae Lee, and pressing political concerns like human rights and war law, the Tea Party, market English, and "utilitarian humanism." He completed his doctoral work in British modernist literature and the law at the University of Toronto, where he held a Canada Graduate Scholarship, and where his thesis won the Woodhouse Prize for best dissertation in the Department of English for 2008. His book, <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Staging-Trials-Modernism-Testimony-Consciousness/dp/1487501072"><em>Staging the Trials of Modernism: Testimony and the British Modern Literary Consciousness</em></a> (2017) is available now. </span><span class="AuthorInfoData">He has also written articles on legal language, writing, and British modernist authors.</span><span> He is currently working on two new projects. Huse</strong> is an English professor specializing in the poetry and politics of the seventeenth century. She is on the Board of the Andrew Marvell Society and has published on Marvell, John Dryden, the Earl of Rochester, Edmund Waller, Katherine Philips, and Sarah Scott. A major area of research interest is the biography of Lucy Terry Prince, the first African-American writer.
