She is also an Intelligence Analyst, working for Law Enforcement with a focus on organized crime. Previously, she was a Research Analyst with the Research Foundation of the City of New York, working on exploring the topics of transnational crime, terrorism, human trafficking, and human smuggling. This position followed her role as a Research Assistant with John Jay College of Criminal Justice Investigative Psychology Research Unit, a two-year collaboration with the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Behavioral Science Unit (BSU). Her work focused on analyzing crime scenes of adjudicated serial homicide cases, in order to create an applicable model of empirical profiling that would link homicide cases, based on evidence collected at the crime scene. Prior to joining John Jay College of Criminal Justice, she worked as a Research Assistant at Columbia University in the City of New York where she also completed her undergraduate education, and for four years she was a member of the Editorial Review Board of Columbia University Undergraduate Science Journal.</p> <p>She was born in Albania. In her native country, she worked as a Humanitarian Aid Worker for United Nations High Commissioner of Refugees (UNHCR) where she participated in collecting testimonies from war victims to be presented at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and provided first assistance to refugees crossing the border from Kosovo to Albania, and to victims of rape and long-term abuse. She was a Team Leader of Humanitarian Aid Workers for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Under the guidance and training of UNICEF, CARE International, and NATO, she was a Community Facilitator for increasing awareness against the danger of Mines and Weapons during the War in Kosovo. As a Fulbright grantee and visiting scholar at Columbia University, Ibrahim led field research on the New York Police Department’s (NYPD) counterterrorism policies, their effects on communities and the ways said communities have resisted policies perceived as unfair. Currently, Ibrahim completing his PhD dissertation, entitled "Geopolitical approach of Counter-terrorism strategies of the New York Police Department: a multi-scalar analysis".</p> <p> Ibrahim is regularly invited to share his expertise on the effects of counterterrorism policies by such organizations as the Open Society Foundation (OSF), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the European Institute of the Mediterranean and the European (IEMed) and Network Against Racism (ENAR). He has also shared his work at a number of universities including University of California Berkeley, Columbia University, Université du Québec à Montréal and Sciences Po Paris. Specifically, she explores how US intervention in Central America throughout the 20th century, has created the modern day trafficking pipeline across the region, the response of the criminal justice systems in the US and LatAm towards incarcerated women as survivors of trafficking, and, the role of women as offenders in transnational groups. A native of New York, he commenced his academic career at John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice with a specialization in criminology &amp; deviance. Bosco's latest work in the academia have dealt with reported youth crime and demographics, and the significance of parent-child attachments on subsequent juvenile delinquency.</p> <p>From 2017-2019, Bosco was involved in a number of criminal justice related internships and research. For instance, he was involved in a restrictive housing project with the Vera Institute of Justice that surveys the well-being of prisons who administer solitary confinement. In addition, Bosco was involved in a research project investigating media perception on mass shootings under Dr. Jason R Silva.
